“Tabula Rasa”. It means starting with a clean slate. When you actually start from scratch as a manufacturer, the results can be surprising. This was the case with the Vitus Audio SP-103 Phono Stage.
It’s a brand new design using ideas and technologies trickled down from their Masterpiece Series.
The resistance and sensitivity can be set with an RC-010 remote or directly on the front of the unit. Instead of the normal MM/MC selection, they have implemented a very flexible gain setting feature. Together with the well known true balanced, fully discrete technologies of Vitus Audio.
The result gives perfect matching with output voltages ranging from 125uV – 16mV.
Vitus believe the SP103 together with the MP-P201 mk2, sets a new standard for analogue reproduction. The resolution, micro-dynamics and pure musicality are simply second to none in the industry.
