The Audiolab 6000CDT is a dedicated CD transport incorporating the same slot-loading mechanism as audiolab’s flagship CD player, the 8300CD. Extremely robust and reliable, it uses a read-ahead digital buffer to reduce disc-reading failures, able to play scratched and damaged CDs that are unreadable by conventional mechanisms.

2 reviews for Audiolab 6000CDT CD Transport

  1. Home Media

My goodness, I’m impressed. I assumed that the transport mech within a CD player had the easy task through the chain of conversion.

All it had to do was spin this dinky silver disc, that only had 0’s and 1’s contained within. There were external boxes that kept jitter under control and boxes that provided the signal for our ears.

I placed both the Audiolab 6000cdt and the Cambridge Audio cxc on the same isolation platform, used identical 75 ohm cables into the Rega Dac-r, then doubled up on the recorded medium and pressed play.

The signal recovered by the Audiolab had greater body and depth. How much more information can the wonderful LS50’s take?
